Until now, The Exclusive has opened 5 branches that spread across 3 cities. What makes it special at the opening of the 5th branch in Medan, it is the hometown of Bobo Sandhu, the owner of The Exclusive.
In the capital of North Sumatra, the boutique is called The Exclusive Tailor and Batik House. It provides various types of exclusive batik, sewing suits and safaris. The place has been operating since 1st of July 2022.
Bobo said his boutique had been existed for 18 years since the first branch in Jakarta.
"The fifth branch is in Medan. The first is at Mal Ambassador Jakarta in 2004, then in Bandung around 2018. Then Cempaka Mas Jakarta, and TSM Cibubur Jakarta and now
In my hometown, Medan," said the man who has moved to Jakarta since 1994 and worked in the textile business, on Saturday, 2nd of July 2022.
Bobo's reason for expanding his business in Medan is to serve his customers there. So they don't have to go to Jakarta to order at The Exclusive.
The man who was born in Medan on 10th of October 1979 is indeed good at sewing suits, but he is also interested in batik.
"I focus on Batik. I also raise our national craft. I work with Pekalongan craftsmen," said the man who claimed that his sewing talent came from his mother.
Bobo always provides total service for his work with rates starting at IDR 1 million for a shirt.
"The advantage is the quality of the stitches. Use good equipment. Like a suit from Germany, the equipment, glue, foam on the shoulders. The sewers are experienced and professional," he said.
Bobo Sandhu's boutique hires 15 employees at all of its branches. Its customers come from various regions in Indonesia, from Aceh, Medan, Jakarta, Bandung and others.
Even though he is an Indonesian taylor, The Exclusive's customers also come from various nationalities.
"In Jakarta, I once got a customer who was a ministerial from Africa. Then people from abroad, westerners also made suits from us. Incidentally, Mal Ambassador is in Jakarta's golden triangle. They like to order to us," said Bobo.

In the hometown, The Exclusive chose a strategic location on Zainul Arifin near the Sun Plaza shopping center and it operates from 09.00-21.00.
Interestingly, Bobo offers a discount promo for his loyal customers in Medan who will come during the grand opening.
